Greetings! Today’s post will be a short one, and mostly just an announcement concerning a new short story I’ve made public on the site. I wrote this one last November during National Novel Writing Month; it’s rougher around the edges but still one I wanted to share. You can find that story, and a brief introduction as to its origins, here.
Additionally, I have a few new maps on display, both on the “My Maps” section of this site and on ArtStation. Mostly fantasy-based, these were made over the past few months. More are to come soon! Additionally, I’ve posted short time lapses of the mapmaking process on my YouTube channel.
Recently I’ve been pondering the need for representing a range of opinionated viewpoints in fiction. Folks… try to respect one another on a fundamental basis, even if we all don’t agree on everything. The world will become a better place not because one side dominates, but because people from opposite ends learn to respect one another in time for change to occur.
Quote of the Week
“At times, it seems to me that to be human is to want that which we cannot have. For some, this is power. For me, it is peace.”
Brandon Sanderson, The Way of Kings
